Bio: Tim Brant, Executive Director of Health, Safety and Prevention, Maize USD 266
Tim Brant is the Executive Director of Health, Safety and Prevention for Maize USD 266, a district of approximately 7,600 students and 1,800 staff members. Tim is responsible for the overall security operation for the school district. Additional responsibilities include managing the Mental Health Intervention Team (MHIT) and the school nurse program. Tim is the district liaison with the Pando Initiative, and with area law enforcement agencies and school districts. Tim is a retired Deputy Chief from the Derby (KS) Police Department. Prior to joining USD 266 in 2022, Tim was the Associate Director of Operations at the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center (KLETC). He holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, a master’s degree in Criminal Justice, and a master’s degree in Business Administration. Tim is a graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s National Academy (FBI NA Session #237), an internationally renowned law enforcement executive leadership development program, and the 27th session of the Central States Law Enforcement Executive Development Seminar (CSLEEDS). He is a member of the Sedgwick County Local Emergency Planning Committee.
